Sonceria Ann Berry, who graduated from the University of North Alabama in 1978, has been confirmed by the Alabama Senate to fill the Board of Trustees seat currently held by Dr. Wendell Gunn, who did not desire to seek reappointment. The final confirmation took place in Montgomery on Thursday morning, and Berry’s six-year term will begin in July.
The Tiny Cubs Community Baby Shower and Sibling Event, hosted by the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions, is set for Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Guillot University Center Banquet Halls on the University of North Alabama campus.

The Tiny Cubs Boutique, in collaboration with Women of Influence, has launched this semester as a way to support University of North Alabama students who are expecting a baby by providing them with access to maternity clothing.

University of North Alabama Senior Caroline Coleman, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., has been crowned Miss UNA at the Miss UNA program Saturday evening in Norton Auditorium on the UNA campus. Coleman will now move on to compete for the title of Miss Alabama at an event that will take place later this year. Coleman is a psychology major, and she performed a classical opera aria for the talent portion of the program.
